The rest of the story...

An election without announced candidates is passing strange. You might be wondering who is standing for election and what their positions are. So am I. Unfortunately, candidate information is unavailable at this time: the slate has not been announced or posted. Email requests for a copy of the slate to blog have not proven successful, not even acknowledged.

In practice, local Chamber elections tend to be an unopposed slate consisting of mostly the same board members and officers standing unopposed for the coming term with only one or two replacements. Nominations from the floor are a rarity. Dennis Fulfer, stepping down as treasurer, picked his replacement. Other changes are possible but would be speculation.
2012 officers and board members are:
Scott Remmich, President
Red Kingston, Vice President, Marketing
Glenn Fulfer, Vice President, Planning
Dennis Fulfer, Treasurer
Kathryn Littlefield, Secretary, Recording
Dorothy Cole, Secretary, Correspondence
Jay Mortensen,  Director-at-Large

To inquire directly, contact CoC president Scott Remmich, Secretary Dorothy Cole, and/or nominating committee members Red Kingston, Dee Tarr and (maybe) Glenn Fulfer. Alternately, you could contact board members individually to ask if they standing or stepping down.

Likewise, board members favoring transparency in the the electoral process are invited to use comment feature to post status. Who knows, a little sunshine might just encourage participation among less active member and even new or lapsed members to join.
