We are in need of lay volunteers for the flu vaccinations event in Estancia on October 30. As you may know, we are planning a drive-thru event for seasonal flu vaccines and, if available, the first H1N1 vaccine for high-risk candidates. We have already identified the medical, law enforcement, radio and emergency personnel necessary for this event. But we very much need lay people (like me) who can help with other stages of the process (e.g. distributing permission forms, directing people between stations, and answering questions).
I have been tasked with identifying SIX VOLUNTEERS through the health council and working committees – PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN HELP! Three of the volunteers need to be fluent in Spanish. The event will begin at 9AM and end at 4PM but volunteers will need to come early for orientation and set up.
Please let me know if you or an adult family member can volunteer – there will be lots to do. THANK YOU on behalf of the Local Emergency Planning and Pandemic Flu Committees.
