Some title, eh? Could be worse, eg "announcing announcements" or even "announcing announcements on Announcements." The post is about other local online announcement outlets, hence the title.

It's not about all of them, just two of the most recent and in my opinion the ones with the most potential: one reminder and the other about the newest kid on the block, already blogged and tweeted. Try them out, follow them, use them - then send me your comments on these and other, plus (specific not vague) recommendations. We'll review them together. All of them

Mountainair List, local answer to the ubiquitous Craig's List, hosted and managed by DKF Diversified (Dennis Fulfer), is the newest entry in the online announcings game, blogged yesterday on Arts - read a more detailed write up there. Online, free classifieds listings. Free listings are DIY (do it yourself): just fill out the online form and submit it. What can you post? Yard sale, for sale, rentals, give away, looking for, help wanted, lost dog, fund raiser, events, meetings, services, birthday wishes and more.

As much potential as this has, it can't get off the ground unless local users support it by bookmarking it, posting listings, etc. START USING THE LIST NOW. Don't wait to see if it "catches" before you use it. Don't wait for the share button or RSS feed. Tell & email your friends about it. Bookmark it. Blog it. Share it on Facebook. Twitter it.
